Andi & Holly

Newcastle, NSW | February 2024

Andrea (Peruvian) and Holly (English) met on a water polo team, with Holly as captain. You'd think their differences - background, language, personality - would set the pace, but it turned out to be the opposite. Andrea came in full Latina-charm mode, which admittedly freaked Holly out a little, so it fizzled before it even started. But something stuck, and they gave it another go. Andrea couldn't resist Holly's accent and her cool, sporty energy; Holly couldn't resist Andrea's warmth and open heart.

Years later: a move to Newcastle, a proposal Holly had to push for, a house, and a cat named Peggy. These days it's swims, the garden, and Peggy, enjoying the simple things with the person each of them calls their safe place. 

What we created together:

They named the day themselves: The Love Party. We went through the typical bits of a wedding piece by piece, and decided what would and wouldn't make the cut, taking the ring exchange out was an easy call for them, since it just wasn't them. What was left was short, casual, and genuinely them. Andrea and Holly walked down the aisle together, side by side, and celebrated with the friends who mean the most to them.
